A SACRED SPACE
Wu:uM is both a membership community and its container. Not just a place but a movement.
We are a collective of women, queers, and gender-expansive folk that believe in a more connected, liberated, and just world and are dedicated to realizing that vision.
Wu:uM holds us as we create, collaborate, heal, organize, and play together. As intimate and safe as your best friends living room and as full of life, art, and imagination as a vibrant cultural venue, here, in all your authentic beauty and mess, you belong.
Come during open hours to hang out, work, nap, or escape, participate in a workshop, attend an event, browse our library of over 10,500 books, get a tarot reading, or check out our gallery’s latest exhibition.
Become a part of building the world we all deserve.
Come Home to Wu:uM
Our Doors Are Open
As a new space still introducing ourselves to the community, Wu:uM is currently open to members and non-members alike during our regular open hours. You can find our hours and address here.
Beginning Summer 2026 access to Wu:uM during open hours will be limited to members and their guests, but day passes will be available for sale both online and on-site. Events will remain open to everyone unless specifically listed as members-only.
Please check back for more information about when open access will end. If this message is still here, we are still open to all.
Wu:uM Membership offers access to the space during open hours, guest passes, a library card, early access and discounted tickets to events, and discounts on venue rentals.
With four distinct membership tiers and a sliding scale that takes your personal situation and broader identity into account, Wu:uM works with everyone interested in joining to ensure the space remains accessible to all.
While all are welcome to apply, to ensure Wu:uM remains a safe place for women and queer folk, cis-het men are required to have an existing member vouch for them or to come meet us in-person in order to join.
Workshops and events at Wu:uM take many forms.
Concerts, open mics, film festivals, sound baths, book club, figure drawing, sensual dance, full moon rituals, grief circles, platonic cuddling, fundraisers, small-business empowerment. We do it all.
Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to pitch us their event or workshop. If it aligns with our values and vision we would love to host you.
Rental rates are decided on an event-by-event basis. We will always do our best to make your event a reality.
The walls of Wu:uM are papered with over 10,500 books, not just there as decoration but each one logged by hand and organized in our own subjective categories, making Wu:uM a living, breathing library. Each member is encouraged to suggest new titles for our ever-expanding and evolving collection. The stories, ideas, knowledge, and history inside each one reminds us of the quiet power of curiosity and creation. Every book is an opportunity to seek outside ourselves and connect with both the ancient and contemporary, the foreign and the familiar.
Wu:uM Gallery is a sister-project of Wu:uM, presenting rotating exhibitions by contemporary artists whose work reflects the ideas, perspectives, and communities at the heart of our mission. Each exhibition is shown both in person and online, with works available for purchase. Wu:uM Gallery is led by Gallery Director, Ed Norwood.
The newest addition to the Wu:uM team, our in-house Esoteric Counselor, Jillian Adel, now offers on-site astrology and tarot readings every Thursday, with in-depth readings also available by booking. Drawing on her work with death, nature, and the erotic, Jillian’s unique practice helps guide you through a spiritual journey rooted in deconstructing oppressive structures and finding alignment and sovereignty within more equitable and integrated frameworks.
Coming Soon: Apothecary
Like all living things, Wu:uM is always in the process of growing and evolving. Our next project will bring an expansive selection of crystals, botanicals, teas, and ancient witchy texts and trinkets available for sale and to engage with and learn about on-site.
